Better, safer driving in the dark
Light Assist analyses light conditions, traffic ahead, and oncoming traffic via a camera at the base of the rear view mirror. On a poorly lit road, the high beams will be activated, and will be deactivated if another vehicle approaches from the opposite direction or appears in front of you. With Dynamic Light Assist, certain main beam modules of the headlights are masked only in those areas that the system has determined as potentially disturbing to other road users.

Front Assist
Safe distance at all times
Using a radar sensor, Front Assist can detect a possible collision with a vehicle in front. In critical situations, the system preconditions the brake system and alerts you. If you don’t brake hard enough, the system automatically generates the necessary amount of brake pressure to prevent a collision. If you don’t react at all, Front Assist automatically applies the brakes. This also works when you are driving below 30km/h (City Emergency Braking System). In addition to detecting vehicles, the Front Assist also detects pedestrians and cyclists who are crossing the road.
Carefree cruising
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) helps you to maintain a pre-set maximum speed and to keep your distance from the vehicle in front of you. It will warn you if you’re approaching too fast, and in an emergency situation, generate enough braking force to reduce the severity of or prevent a collision.
